At the end of the Stay Tuned Episode with Nicolle Wallace, Preet referenced a powerful, evocative, 3-D piece of art that is also a call to action.
Manuel Oliver, who lost his son Joaquin during the February 14, 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, designed “The Last Lockdown” with a team of folks, including the Gabby Giffords Foundation, to raise awareness around the pervasive culture of gun violence.
As Oliver said, “It’s too late for us to save Joaquin from gun violence, but through art my family and I are making sure that we protect the rest of the kids out there.”
