New Poll Shows Clinton Would Be Most Unpopular Nominee in History If Trump Didn’t Exist

A new ABC/Washington Post poll this weekend showed Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton by 2 percent — and Republican insiders haven’t been this pleasantly surprised since Dick Cheney managed to avoid prison.

The numbers mostly illustrate that Republicans have started to unite around Trump (like flies congregating around a dog’s feces), while the left is still in the process of accepting that Clinton only bests Bernie Sanders in one poll: the Democratic Primary.

Another key finding from the poll is that Clinton would be the most unpopular major party nominee in U.S. history, if Donald Trump hadn’t been so damaged as a child, adult and senior citizen.
