Inspiring: Former Congressman Joe Walsh Lives His Values By Not Paying His Child Support

Read

Former congressman Joe Walsh is a shining example of something that’s become all too rare in America these days: someone who isn’t afraid to share his opinion, no matter how unpleasant it may make him seem.

The thing is, Joe Walsh hasn’t just talked about these values. He lived them.

If you didn’t already know, Joe Walsh is famous for two things: getting mixed up with the Joe Walsh who wrote “Life in the Fast Lane,” and not paying his child support. According to Wikipedia,

In July 2011, the Chicago SunTimes reported that Walsh’s ex-wife, Laura, was suing him for $117,437 for past due child support dating from 2005 for their three children.

Although he eventually settled with his ex-wife, Joe has continued to speak out for the things he believes in – like, presumably, not paying for the care of his children. For that, we salute him.

No government benefits for you, Joe Walsh’s kids!

Without Joe Walsh’s child support, his kids could receive neither healthcare nor education. Stick it to ’em, Joe!

It’s that old “If you give a child a house” slippery slope. None of that nonsense for Joe’s kids.

Like Joe did, when he was earning money from a job while simultaneously telling his wife he was unemployed so that he wouldn’t have to pay child support. Good thinking, Joe!

Not in Joe’s household, either.

Not many people in today’s world have the courage of their convictions, and that’s why it’s so heartening to find a person who stands by his words. Bravo to Joe Walsh, who lived his values by refusing to let his hard-earned money go to our nation’s needy children – including his own.
