This week, The Dallas Morning News reported that the Texas Board of Education has decided not to require fact-checking of school textbooks by experts. The current panel in charge of what goes into these books includes student’s parents.
Here are 4 possible future excerpts from these parent-reviewed textbooks:
1) We understand that Texas is a predominantly religious state, but this attempt at misdirection is pathetic:
2) This history textbook was clearly edited by a Texan student’s unqualified dad. Terrible.
3) We do not think the mothers of students should be allowed to air grievances with their children in required reading material. This is embarrassing:
4) Oh, come on.
